My Weekend

Malachi is 2 years old
Elijah is 10 months and pretty much always this happy!

Not much has been going on around here. Friday through Tuesday I kept Malachi and Elijah because their parents were out-of-town to New York City. That was fun having a house and car- and well- the kids came along with it- to myself. Ha Ha I can now see what my mom has been telling me for years is true- that everything takes twice as long with little children. There is no such thing as an hour and a half gym trip or a "dash" into the mall to "run" through one store or a "leisurely" Sunday morning etc... or letting a 2-year old help in the kitchen, why do they find it necessary to dump SALT into my lemon bars when I turn my back??:) Oh, well, it just makes it all the more fun!

See, I had to plan way ahead of time in order to leave the house when I wanted to for reasons like the above, I wasn't just putting one person's shoes on, no, now it was 3 people!:)-

They grow up SO fast!

So I was going through of Maggies's pictures on the computer tonight, all the while thinking to myself, you really need to get your lazy self up and download some more recent ones, anyway... Here is one of her and I back in March of last year. Almost one year ago! Where does the time go? She could barely hold her head up then and now she is running all over the place! Oh my word! Okay, that's my excuse for a post! Love ya Mags!

Valentine's Day

Valentine's Day can be quite a depressing day, week, month etc... to some of us! So, just thought I would post a picture of some cookies that the kids and I made the other day for some cheering-up! Ha Ha! Had a gingerbread mix left over from Christmas and didn't figure it would last another year- so there you have it! I still want a teddy bear and a giant kiss one of these days(that's for you Courtney!), but we will have to wait and see!

Nathan, Lydia, Grace, Lehney, and Noah

Here are several pictures of the kids I nanny. Nathan is 7 years old and very curious. He is also a take-charge type and has proposed marriage to me on more than one occasion( I just might do that buddy- if things don't pick up here!) Lydia is 6 and very independent at times. She loves princesses and girly things but if you ever lose her outside- just head for the woods and poison ivy! Gracie is 4 years old and very sweet and clingy, she always wants to be with you. She loves to play games and I have become a pro at Candyland! Lehney( her real name is Lehner Elizabeth- a family name but we just call her Lehney(La-ney)) is 19 months old and a rascal!! She has been calling me Emmy for several months now and you always know when she is awake from a nap, because you will hear EMMY! being screamed from the upstaris! She is very cuddly and still loves to be rocked to sleep, half the time I have to stop so that I don't fall asleep! Now for the newest edition, Noah. He is only 13 days old and I can't say much except he is so sweet! He is a good baby. I thought it would be strange at first, having one more to add to the crew, but now it seems like he has always been here and it is hard to remember what it was like before him! Well, there you have it! These are the little angels that make my days and weeks so much fun and I wouldn't trade it for the world!

Welcome Baby Noah

This is baby Noah Theodore. He was born January 7th at 11:00 a.m. He was 9 lbs. 6 oz. and 21'' long. I nanny for his family and he is number 5!! Welcome to the world Noah! We love you!

My attempt at a blog

Here is my hopeful effort to start and carry on-a blog! I dont't think I have much to say and even if I do, I don't think it to be very interesting! So, we will see what comes of it! My very first post is of my 14 month old niece, Maggie, and I at Thanksgiving. We all went ice skating at Fountain Square.
